- Plan on 2-3 hrs for the château, 1 hr for the gardens, and another 2 hs if you want to include the Domaine de Marie-Antoinette in your visit. Add 2 hours to cover your round-trip transit time, and it’s a five- to ten-hour day trip from Paris.
- 🚂 RER C suburban train runs along Paris’ left bank and finishes at Versailles Rive Gauche- it’s the last stop nearest palace. www.ratp.fr/plan-interactif On your way back to the city get off at Champ de Mars/Tour Eiffel stop and visit Eiffel Tower. Then you can take evening river cruise that starts nearby at the foot of the tower.
