Wikipedia: Also known as the Latin Quarter, the 5th arrondissement is home to the Sorbonne university and student-filled cafes. It’s also known for its bookshops, including the famed Shakespeare & Company. Family-friendly attractions include the Jardin des Plantes botanical gardens and the National Museum of Natural History. - 🧀 Androuet: “We did a food tour that was centered around the Rue Mouffetard, and that featured a cheese shop called Androuet. We loved the tour, the shop, the cheese, and the neighborhood. ⚠️ Everything is closed on Mondays, as you’ve probably heard. But I think the best plan is not to make too many plans — wandering around and getting lost will yield many rewards. We couldn’t believe how much we loved Paris.” per Barbara Costello, Facebook ATK group comments.

- review online: “Incredible building. You have to time your visit though because the hours are strange. [check online] Be sure you have enough time to wander around and see all the tombs of the famous people. There’s a Rick Steve’s audio tour of the pantheon that’s free to download and is great info so you know what you’re looking at. The dome is magnificent! It gets very crowded in there but the lines to enter moves quickly”
- From April to October, tourists can enjoy the fine views of the capital from the colonnade of the dome.
- Institut du Monde Arabe (is this the one with the gorgeous view from top??)
